How Saunapallo® was born?
2007 – The Idea is Born
Saunapallo’s inventor and founder, Lari Kirkkopelto, had just finished an intense workout and wanted a relaxing sauna experience. The sauna only had a dry stove, which didn’t provide the soft, even heat he was looking for. How could he enjoy a smooth, balanced steam without constantly pouring water over the stove? This question sparked the idea for Saunapallo.
2017 – First Product
After years of experimentation and development, the first Saunapallo was created. The initial prototype was made from a flower pot, but it didn’t work as intended. The perfect solution was finally found in stainless steel, providing consistent, enjoyable steam.
2025 – Recognized and Trusted
Today, Saunapallo has become a beloved sauna accessory. It has even been featured on television, with Petteri Orpo trusting Saunapallo. Sales have doubled compared to last year, and Saunapallo has been sold to nearly 3,000 saunas in Finland and internationally, including Japan, the USA, Canada, Sweden, Hungary, and Germany.

We work with meticulously selected partners to design and produce Saunapallo®, guaranteeing quality and innovation at every stage.
